Founder + CEO

Kate is the energetic founder of Belmore Financial, a location-independent practice she started in 2013. Kate entered the financial services industry in 2006 and became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional to help people. Like, really help people.

After nearly eight years at an investment advisory firm, where she was a shareholder, she left to create a practice that she sees as the future of financial planning. Her prior firm specialized in qualified retirement plans (401(k), 403(b), Profit Sharing, etc.) and she realized she was most energized and fulfilled after days of meeting one-on-one with employees. Why? Because she was helping! Her goal in every meeting is to provide an "ah ha" moment. This can come in the form of simplifying a complex topic in a way you’ll understand, asking a question in a way you’ve never thought of, or making a concept more relatable to encourage you to take action. Kate now focuses on bringing these valuable meetings to everyone, working virtually with clients for a flat fee regardless of their assets, net worth, or location.

The most important aspect of launching Belmore was to ensure there are no conflicts-of-interest. This allows us to focus on providing top quality advice and education, and assures you the advice you receive is in your best interest. To accomplish this, we act in a fiduciary capacity at all times and we do not manage assets or sell financial products.

Kate is active in the financial planning industry, serving on CFP Board’s Women’s Initiative Council, as a CFP Board Ambassador to Denver and on committees within the FPA and NAPFA.

Kate is an international speaker and consultant and is regularly quoted or featured in the media, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Reuters, U.S. News & World Report, and Forbes. She was also named one of InvestmentNews' "40 Under 40" class of 2016.

As an avid traveler, Kate enjoys being able to work from anywhere and add to the list of nearly 35 countries she’s visited, including Australia, where she graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography.
